Coach dom bethancourt

Born and raised in El Dorado Hills, California, Coach Dom Bethancourt grew up on the diamonds of El Dorado Hills Little League, where his love for the game took root at an early age. From those early days, his dedication and competitive spirit set him apart, driving him to become one of the region’s most promising young players.

At Folsom High School (’14), Dom became a leader on and off the field, earning All-League honors while posting a .413 batting average and a .603 slugging percentage his senior year. His performance and leadership earned him a spot at Sierra College, where he refined his all-around game and developed the work ethic that would define his baseball career.

After college, Dom began his professional journey with the Napa Silverados of the Pacific Association, where he quickly became a lineup staple—hitting nearly .300 across two seasons and earning a reputation for his grit, power, and consistency. He went on to play in the United Shore Professional Baseball League and later with the Lexington Legends organization, gaining valuable experience in top independent and developmental leagues.

In 2022, Dom reached a new milestone—signing with the Monclova Acereros of the Mexican League (LMB), one of Latin America’s premier professional organizations. During his time with Monclova, he made an immediate impact, including a game-winning home run that helped secure a key victory for the Acereros.

Today, Coach Dom channels that same pro-level intensity and joy for the game into every training session. His coaching philosophy, “Have Fun. DOMinate,” reflects his belief that baseball builds more than athletes; it builds confidence, character, and community.

A proud single father to his daughter Camila, Dom credits her with deepening his purpose both on and off the field. When he’s not training athletes, he’s leading the next generation as the head coach of the BPA Sacramento 12U Black tournament team, mentoring young players to compete with heart, humility, and hustle.
